Group Finance Director

Our client is a disruptive business within the UK services sector based in a number of locations throughout the UK.  The client has a unique business model that has challenged the status quo and is successfully offering versatile and flexible services aimed at the UK SME  market,  - which itself has become much more fluid over the past few years.  In order to support continued revenue growth and its leading market position, this profitable, privately owned SME is looking to hire a Group Finance Director.  This role will be a peer level partner to the CEO, a true right-hand man/woman, as well as a Board position.  This is a highly visible and accountable role which would suit an energetic, charismatic finance professional looking to join a business where they can really make a difference and share in the continued success of the organisation.

Key responsibilities of this role will involve:

*Overall responsibility for the financial direction of the company;

*The continued development and implementation of robust systems, processes and controls both within finance and operationally;

*Adding real and substantial value at a strategic level on the Board leading to a value realisation opportunity for the existing shareholders ;

*Taking the lead in M&A activities ;

*Financial control, risk management and statutory compliance;

*Cash management and dealing with banks, shareholders and other third parties

The ideal candidate should have been a stand- alone Finance Director previously, as well as have real and substantive experience of leading a shareholder exit.

Sector background is not important , rather the ability to work in a highly commercial and dynamic environment, supporting growth and unlocking returns.
