Group Financial Controller

Qualified Group Financial Controller required for Walsall for a PE backed acquisitive business.

Your new company
We are recruiting for a Private Equity backed Professional Services business based in Walsall. As part of a larger group the organisation have experienced significant growth over the last two years with a presence across the UK. The company have grown both organically and through strategic acquisition and as such are now looking for a newly created Group Financial Controller.

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and CFO you will take responsibility for leading a sizeable finance team of circa 30 employees across finance and credit control. You will assume the day to day running of the finance function of a highly acquisitive business. You will support the senior management team from a Finance perspective including preparing the accounts for presentation to the Group. You will lead the development of high quality management information including M&A analysis, board reports, KPI and performance reporting.
Other duties will include building short and medium term financial forecasting models including short and medium term cash flow projections in a fast growth environment.
You will also support the M&A activities including acquisition modelling/investment appraisal and post acquisition integration activities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with significant experience within M&A experience within industry including post acquisition integration. You will also have significant financial modelling and investment appraisal experience. You will have a track record of project management including complex business change. Professional services and multi-site based experience would be beneficial. You will also be comfortable managing sizeable teams and presenting at board level.
