Partner Financial is retained by a successful international online consumer business to identify a talented Group Financial Controller. The Group possesses a strong track record of growth and have a notable footprint from both a UK and global perspective. With aggressive growth plans through acquisition and organic development, the Board strategy positions the business at the forefront of its market and main competitors; the finance team have made a notable contribution to what the business has been able to deliver to date.

Reporting to the Group CFO, it is essential that you are able to build a strong personal brand across the business. As Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the timely production of management and financial reporting across the Group. You will also be heavily involved with the key decision making process and the long term strategy, driving overall performance across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the year end close process and manage the consolidation of the Group’s results;
  • Developing processes to ensure that all regular reporting can be delivered from the team in a highly automated manner;
  • Understanding the drivers of cash flow and developing and proposing initiatives to improve the cash position;
  • Providing high quality analysis of proposed transactions and commercial contracts;
  • Owning the annual budget and regular forecasting process;
  • Providing high quality, accurate and timely management information;
  • Developing working relationships with local accounting teams;
  • Business partnering with Senior Stakeholders at a Global level;
  • Managing a finance team consisting of both qualified and non-qualified staff;
  • Investing in the development of people within finance and across the wider Group;
  • Ensuring effective and efficient control processes around the Group’s production of results;
  • Delivering ad-hoc projects as directed by the Group CFO.

This role requires a driven, qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience in supporting a business through a period of change and growth. To succeed in this role, you will have strong commercial acumen and have the ability to build strong and lasting relationships.
