CAE is a leading technology service company in its 25th year of trading and employs more than 200 staff. Acting primarily as a reseller of hardware, software and service solutions, CAE matches the business requirements of a high quality mid-tier customer base, in commercial and public sector markets, with the latest technology from leading manufacturers such as Cisco, HP and Microsoft. The company has expanded extensively and a new position has been created to facilitate the increased reporting requirements.

We are looking for an organised, self-starter who will promote greater efficiency within the growing finance team.  The ideal candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant with previous experience of managing all aspects of the finance function. They will be a highly numerate individual, with an eye for accuracy and diligent work ethic.

The role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a changing environment, likes complexity, challenge and can be hands on. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach and the ability to communicate effectively.

 

Working closely with the Head of Reporting and Analysis and other members of the finance team, you will be required to:

  • Prepare monthly accounts, analysis against budget and prior year, and commentary
  • Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts and assist with cash flow planning
  • Manage purchase ledger activity including purchase requests, monitor cost against budget and reconcile cost of sales
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist as required
  • Monitor sales processing and prepare forecast ensuring consistency between systems
  • Analyse contract profitability and provide support for the renewals process
  • Be responsible for the internal recharge process and assist with project analysis
  • Prepare statutory accounts and supporting files
  • Ensure data integrity through rigorous monitoring of transactions
  • Be involved with the continual development of internal controls and processes
  • Assist with Ad hoc project work

 

Systems Knowledge

  • Highly competent using Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One is desirable

The role would suit a qualified accountant with 2-5 years PQE in a similar or Financial Controller role, keen to develop their career in a highly growth driven, commercial environment.
