Financial Controller

Our client is a growing business with an established history and an exciting future ahead of it. 

Due to sustained growth they are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller in to a newly created position reporting in at board level.

Looking after two members of staff, the position will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the accounts department

Your duties will include;

• Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts
• Developing, implementing and producing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts
• VAT returns
• Suggesting and actioning updates and improvements for accounting system, including payroll and invoicing
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Annual returns
• Producing ad hoc reports
• Working closely with directors and shareholders ensuring smooth running of business from a financial perspective

The successful candidate will be qualified or qualified by their experience and will have a strong background in all round accounting and will have proven experience in a similar role.

Experience working in the manufacturing and or contracting sectors is highly desirable as a lot of the finance work that you will be doing will be based around projects.
