Robert Half Management Resources is supporting a mutual insurer with its project management requirements.
To this end we have been asked to deploy a Head of Projects, reporting to the Finance Director.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Management of Projects
- To assist in the evaluation of potential projects at an early stage to ensure resources exist to manage delivery expectations
- To contribute to the company's business plan regarding the delivery of approved strategic projects
- To co-ordinate and report on all project related activity
- To manage the Project Office resources and reporting
- Day to day management of assigned individual projects
- Chair of IT and Projects Steering Committee
Managing People
- To fulfil the people management responsibilities of the department including recruitment, training, motivation, performance and review
- Provide leadership, vision, and management to the Project Office
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE 2 or AGILE)
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Experience of managing multiple projects at any one time
- At least 5 years' experience in a Project Manager role
Desirable
- Experience of project management within a financial services environment.
- Experience of reporting through Microsoft Project
