Commercial Finance Analyst

Responsibilities:

1. Core Reporting

* Daily Sales Reporting - Working alongside other finance team members to ensure the accuracy and delivery of our daily sales reporting
* Weekly Reporting - Working alongside other finance team members to deliver our weekly Trade reporting on a Monday morning
* Month End - Taking ownership and responsibility for key account lines, ensuring understanding of balances and accuracy of reporting and underlying ledgers (including balance sheet reconciliations when appropriate)

2. Commercial Analysis

* Building financial models to analyse the impact of new stores, EComm initiatives etc.
* Delivering store level retail analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Supporting quarterly store commercially reviews with ad hoc analysis
* Supporting other channels commercial analysis as required

3. Business Partnering

* Building relationships across the business to enable a mutual understanding of financial impacts and projections
* Business partnering both cost centre owners and key channel owners e.g. Wholesale and Sub Prime

4. Planning and Forecasting

* Support the Budget and quarterly reforecast process delivering key financial models and consolidation

5. Ad hoc reporting and analysis

* Review and redesign of reporting, when appropriate, to ensure value-add outputs
* Preparation of other ad hoc analysis as and when required
* Support of wider finance team where appropriate

Key Skills and Experience

Essential:

• MS excel - Vlookups and Pivot tables
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well both within finance and across the business at all levels
• Pro-active
• Advanced excel skills
• Team player
• Ability to multi-task

Desirable:

• Experience working in the retail sector
• Part qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA)
• Systems Knowledge: Microsoft AX Dynamics
