A major financial services institution is looking to invest in the services of a Divisional Finance Director to strengthen senior management following increasing organic growth and the development of new business streams through a number of recent acquisitions.

The FD will be the influential strategic lead for two core product areas providing high quality financial information and control, strategic and commercial insight to the business through effective stakeholder engagement to the Divisional MD, Group CFO, Executive Committee, the Board and also External Investors.

Acting a the primary business partner to the Divisional MD suitable applicants will need to demonstrate an exceptional technical ability and a capacity to inspire and influence both internal and external stakeholders to create a robust financial control platform which will be the bedrock of the business. They will also need to show an entrepreneurial flair to develop an excellent commercial strategy that will underpin organisational stability whilst providing sound financial decision support to an organisation which has an ambition to create a market-leading status through the delivery of exceptional service.

You will be a degree educated, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a commercial and demonstrable track record of managing business performance improvement, maintaining the highest levels of governance and risk management, reducing working capital demands and influencing the business strategically through sound commercial decision support and business planning. Experience of a senior management position within financial services, and specifically with a Mortgage Lender or Building Society, is extremely desirable.
