Group Financial Accountant

A great opportunity to work for a highly sought after, award winning employer who are a very well known household brand. They are inviting high calibre applicants who have recently qualified ACA/ICAEW or ACCA to take on a new role as Financial Accountant to join their Group Finance team in Leeds.

• Compile the consolidated Group management accounts and production of the monthly board pack and quarterly bank pack
• Coach and develop 2 part qualified accountants
• Ownership for the completion of several subsidiary statutory accounts ensuring these are audited and signed within agreed timelines.
• Ownership of overall month end consolidation timelines, introducing checklists and controls to ensure timely and accurate submissions by the brand teams.
• Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations within the team are accurate.
• Production of the monthly management accounts for the International business, ensuring income is being recognised in line with contract.
• Developing strong relationships with all key stakeholders including Corporate Finance and International.
• Support the Financial Control area with overall balance sheet integrity, provisions, accruals and equity.

To be considered for this exciting new opportunity as a Group Financial Accountant you will possess A full qualification in either CIMA, ACCA, ACA or ICAEW. You will Strong numeracy and analytical skills with ability to investigate queries thoroughly and accurately with excellent attention to detail.
