Fixed Asset and Inventory Accountant / Private Equity - 6 month contract
My client is a market leading Private Equity backed International Infrastructure leasing business. They have been growing exponentially over the past four years and have established themselves as a market leader in their chosen Operating Countries. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with many exciting Programmes in flight which is well regarded as they have a fantastic business model, staff and investors.
Role:
- The client is looking for a focused and dynamic Fixed Asset and Inventory accountant.
- Reports to Fixed Asset and Inventory Supervisor.
The Responsibilities of the Fixed Asset Accountant:
- To ensure that all Inventory and Goods Receipts transactions are processed accurately through SAP By Design on which financial control and governance is maintained.
- Inventory and asset maintenance, including the issuing of goods to site, WIP management and disposals / obsolescence processing.
- Supporting the Operating Companies (Op-Cos) for all Asset and Inventory requirements and month end processing.
- Ensuring all local Op-Co financial and regulatory objectives are met on a time.
- Ensure all queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor all data inaccuracies, thoroughly investigate and escalate when necessary.
Key interactions of the Fixed Asset Accountant:
- CBO team.
- Finance & Warehouse teams in Op-Cos.
- Group finance.
Skills and experience of the Fixed Asset Accountant:
- Using SAP preferable but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a busy finance team.
- Previous experience in a finance department working accurately with high volume transactions.
- French speaker preferred but not essential.
- Competent working with computers, especially Excel skills are essential.
- Proactive team player.
- Ability to communicate with people across the organisation at various levels.
- Ability to investigate and apply resolution to problems competently without supervision.
