This Kent based, multi-sited FMCG business are seeking a Financial Controller to steer them through a period of significant growth.
This role will assume responsibility for the efficient day to day running of the finance team, to ensure that all accounting outputs are accurate and up to date.
In detail the role is responsible for a team of 5 and covers the production of management accounts with full commentary and analysis. You'll work with senior stakeholders to produce yearly budgets, with ongoing reporting on actual vs budget. You'll prepare various weekly and monthly statistical reports and coordinate audits alongside various ad hoc project work. In addition to ensuring that all statutory returns are delivered on time you will work to improve and maintain the internal controls, procedures and systems to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Applicants must be CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified and will enjoy a role that requires excellent stakeholder management outside of the finance team. You'll need to quickly show gravitas and credibility and be prepared to challenge in the right ways. Experience of working within an FMCG environment (or similar product driven business) would be highly desirable.
