Head of Finance

Robert Half Search & Selection has been engaged on a retained basis by one of the UK's leading entrepreneurial sciences organisations in the recruitment of a Head of Finance for their Alderley Park site (SK10 4TG)

The Role:

As the new Head of Finance, you will be in a pivotal role within the business, creating both the Commercial and Transactional sides of finance, providing a conduit to the board and helping drive organisational efficiencies and acquisitions.

My client is 3 months into their start up, and therefore, although there is a nucleolus of finance (Interim Senior Finance in place and ready to hand over) the new Head of Finance will create robust and effective Finance Team which will consist of 4 in total, which you will recruit.

In addition to growing the Finance Team, you will set a new internal controls process to support the organisations growth strategies.

Key attributes and duties in the role:

• Board Level Engagement on future growth
• Creating a high performing Finance Team
• Supervision of monthly management accounts / financial accounts and supporting this process
• Working with the business and other operations teams to deliver improved management reporting, providing more relevant information to help the business make better decisions Engagement across the business - Interacting with Board, Line and Teams
• Leading projects on a structured and ad-hoc basis. Time management and Planning of Project delivery schedule
• Responsible for delivering an evolving service, looking at the opportunities for improving the finance partnering model and level of internal customer service
• Highly collaborative with a high level of communicative reporting skills
• KPI creation for Sales & Operations
• Project Management - Ad-hoc Reporting

Salary

As Head of Finance, the salary banding is between £50,000 and £60,000 plus 10% pension
