Financial Accountant
Swindon, Wiltshire
£40,000 + Bens + Bonus
Due to the rapid growth in this business they are looking for an ambitious accountant within the Finance team reporting to the Head of Treasury. The role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain experience of the cash management and treasury process in a dynamic environment.
As a key member of the Finance team you will be the point of contact for the business regarding cash management, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely services to our Joint Venture Companies and the Support Office as well as overseeing all accounting matters around Treasury.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Development of key Treasury related processes.
- Identifying process risks and ensuring adequate controls are in place to mitigate them.
- Maintain and develop the cash flow forecasting model to provide short and medium term forecasts, working closely with the Financial Planning Department to ensure the forecasts are in line with the Business Plan.
- Manage liquidity across Support Office bank accounts, reporting to the parent company on a daily basis.
- Oversee reconciliations on all bank accounts and ensuring all cash transactions have been recorded in accordance with the relevant accounting standard and Group accounting policy.
- Manage monthly transfers of cash between Support Office and the Joint Venture Companies.
- Maintain bank mandates and oversee the opening of all new bank accounts.
- Manage the repayment of Joint Venture Partner loans.
- Provide analysis and support to the Head of Treasury in various ad hoc projects as required.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with a minimum of two years post qualification experience. You will have previous experience of delivering management information to tight deadlines and managing change. You will have advanced Excel skills. You will be looking to join a dynamic team in a fast moving organisation with a strong desire to learn and progress, both within the Treasury team and with the wider business. Excellent communication skills are essential along with great people skills and a desire to work as part of a team.
