Our client a leading consumer business based in West London is looking for a Part Qualified Finance Analyst to drive the continuous improvements across the planning activities, including process, guidance and tools. You will lead the consolidation and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting. The business have invested heavily in their planning function over recent years, which has brought to light a number of key benefits resulting in the desire to invest further in this area of finance.
This position is a crucial role within the team and would suit an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and has a passion for building strong relationships. The successful candidate will be visible to a number of key stakeholders within multiple functions meaning this job would be well suited to a commercially astute Part Qualified Analyst who can work closely with the Finance Manager and the wider business to offer a value add service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the production of the analysis, explaining the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow variances to budget, prior year and latest forecast
- Lead the consolidation of the plans for all functions, providing insight into business drivers and key messages
- Business Partner with the Finance Managers and Analysts of the various functions to influence the achievement of a high quality financial plan submissions
- Support the preparation of a variety of presentations for the CFO, Board, Executive Committee and Shareholders, including quarterly presentations on forecast and annual presentations on budget
- Ensure integrity in the business plan, checking submissions for accuracy and play an active role in enhancing the reporting process
- Lead on engagement with Finance teams on developing planning tools and guidance, ensuring continuous improvement, and keep the business supported via training and support sessions
- Manage the finance systems during planning cycles, ensuring control and rigour during plan updates
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Ability to analyse volumes of data and draw conclusions
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and organise workload effectively
- Strong communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to draw out key messages and influence decisions
- Strong IT skills, including Excel (pivot tables and v look ups), and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
