SF Group are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a successful charity in Nottingham. This charity has a national coverage and is geared up to continue to grow.

As the Financial Controller, you will be reporting directly into the directors and manage the group finance function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a large team of Accountants to ensure management accounts are produced for review by the board
  • Manage the budget
  • Oversee and support the financial reporting, planning and accounting
  • Support the board with compliance, analytical and reporting activities
  • Manage the funding investments
  • Provide advice to finance on any accounting or reporting requirements
  • Prepare all management reporting requirements
  • Monthly reporting
  • Budgeting/forecasting
  • Production of the 3 year strategic plan
  • Ad hoc investigations and analysis projects on behalf of the International CFO
  • Costing, pricing and modelling
  • Ensure strong relationships with senior stakeholders including; board members, directors, banks and investors
  • A member of the senior management team, attending SMT meetings and ensuring a collaborative approach between departments
  • Review any financial changes to commercial contracts

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) ideally with previous experience working in the charity, not for profit sector or an organisation that receives public funding. You will have strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team to get the best out of them and create a high performing team. You will have a strong concept of business partnering to ensure that it lives in the organisation. You will have a commercial mindset and forward thinking to support the growth in the organisation.
