Operations Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be exclusively partnering with one of South Yorkshire most renowned manufacturing business is their search to recruit a forward-thinking Operations Accountant.

A true market leader in what they do, my client is moving from strength to strength and with this require the services of a proactive and self-sufficient Op's Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director with a strong line of responsibility to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will play a pivotal role, acting as the lynch pin between Operations and Finance.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

*Monthly management accounting responsibility for the site
*Management and reconciliation of stock, raw materials and packaging. Detailed analysis of inventory quality
*Production accounting for labour, manufacturing, distribution and technical cost recoveries. Detailed monthly analysis of spend and recovery variances
*Preparation and presentation of the monthly operations reporting pack incorporating management review
*Preparation of various monthly statistics
*Product costing for both new and re-formulated products. Including maintenance of the cost request system
*Review and analysis of standard costs
*Creating budgeted standard costs
*Preparation of the overall budget for operations - including analysis and investigation into variances
*Work closely with the Operation Director in formulating and agreeing annual operations savings targets
*Facilitate the Operations Team in the justification of capital projects. Track and analyse the performance of all capital projects post implementation
*Build strong working relationships with senior production management to support improved financial performance
*Financial control and management of stock takes including liaison with external auditors
*Review of current processes and systems with view to highlighting potential efficiencies and developments
*Supporting the Operations Director in the identification and validation of projects

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
*Strong IT Skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Excellent analytical skills
*Ability to communicate with all levels of management
