One of the largest property development companies in the UK is looking for a Development Accountant to join their Finance team in a role offering a great deal of progression. This is a role for a particularly commercial, high calibre individual looking for a position which will offer huge scope for development with a strong team and the opportunity for a great deal of training and development.
This area of finance is fast-growing and this position offers the chance to develop whilst working on some of the largest projects in the sector.
Key responsibilities include:
-Working in unison with the Finance Managers in the production of financial & management reporting on a number of scheme developments commercial activities
-Providing project appraisals to assess the commercial viability of both short and long term development projects
-Prepare reports and commentaries on the impact of the development plan on the long-term plans for the business
-Assess major new business proposals in the context of the Groups business plans; cash flow, financial capacity, critically appraising the financial viability of proposals. This will include carrying out, scenario modelling and financial viabilities review
-Critically appraise financial models that are used to assess new business opportunities
Recognised for taking the highest calibre candidates, this role offers a chance for an exceptional candidate to take advantage of the huge development opportunities that come with this role. The ideal candidate will be a strong influencer and communicator - able to build effective working relationships across and within organisations. A strong understanding of accounting is necessary, and this position would suit either a soon to be qualified finalist or newly qualified accountant. To truly exceed in this role you will need a good understanding of property, infrastructure or real estate.
