Leading, global Property Development company based in Central London is looking for a qualified and experienced Analyst to join its finance Division within the Property Development Finance Support team. The role is a Residential Investment Analyst, and it will report to the Development Analyst Manager in a team of 5.

 

Key Objective

 


Responsible for performance management of residential development and investment opportunities, including producing financial analysis and forecasts for residential projects and liaising with finance legal & management teams for the purpose of providing specialist advice on strategy.

 

Main Duties

 

 

  • Co‐ordinate necessary information for the preparation of residential development investment appraisals, liaising with all areas of the business and external sources to prepare meaningful inputs into the feasibility and business plan
  • Liaise with and manage external agents and consultants to provide advice and guidance on costs, values and processes to ensure the accurate profitable development and investment opportunities
  • Preparation and monitoring of project budgets, long term forecasts and cash flows
  • Control of Development spend in accordance with budgets, final sign‐off on invoices and the management of invoicing admin
  • Financial modelling, cash flow and ad hoc analysis as required
  • Presentation of residential feasibilities direct to senior management
  • Analysis of cost and income information to facilitate strategic decision‐making
  • Understand and manage key project and sector Risks
  • Knowledge of the impacts of the macro and micro residential management and how this affects the projects. Sensitivity analysis and option generating
  • Ensure all financial and non‐financial aspects of Joint Venture Agreements and other legal agreements with 3rd parties are complied with
  • Monitor financial performance and review market data on major competitors and other residential projects to assist with the financial aspects of deal structuring
  • Review of development accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
  • Review Residential feasibilities post completion

 

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

 

 

  • A strong track record within the Residential Property sector
  • Significant post qualification (CIMA / ACA / CFA or equivalent) accountancy experience, preferably as an Analyst, in the Residential Property Development industry
  • Experience in Development Analysis and Investment Appraisal for Residential projects with one of the following : a residential developer, a property agency team, corporate finance / bank or accountancy / advisory practice
  • Advanced spreadsheet modelling skills
  • Corporate finance experience
  • Sound commercial experience and judgement
  • Ability to understand, interrogate and confidently challenge detailed cost plans, budgets and income forecasts to a high degree of forensic detail
  • Proven experience of fostering effective working relationships at all levels and also with external stakeholders
