Finance Systems Analyst Role Overview:

Working as part of the Commercial Finance team you will be a custodians of the financial systems; SAP, Qlikview & NPrinting, as well as complex Excel models involving highly complicated formula and macros. You will be the owner of these systems, playing a key role in maintaining them, and looking to identify and implement areas of improvement.

Using these systems, this role will provide the business with relevant data and quality analysis in order enable the Operations team to drive the performance of the business and will have responsibilities focused on improving profitability, with an emphasis on sales and wages, providing meaningful and value adding reports, and supporting all systems while delivering gold standard service.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Systems Analyst:

• Super user of SAP,Qlikview & NPrinting. Coaching and support all Roadchef system users. Be the ‘go to’ person to fix issues and be able to maintain and improve systems.
• Own weekly reporting, ensuring timely and accurate distribution while identifying key areas for improvement.
• Support Budgeting and Forecasting processes partnering with the Operations team, constructively challenging submissions and delivering updates and feedback.
• Detailed analysis of trends and contribute toward base assumptions
• Own theoretical margins and ensure the integrity of the number.
• Identify areas of improvement to drive profit performance and magins
• Support the business with ad hoc reporting requests using commercial mindset and ensuring reports are delivered in a timely manner
• Support the decision making process including investment appraisals for new opportunities and post completion reviews.

Skills/ Experience of Finance Systems Analyst:

• Multi-site retail or catering experience
• Strong Excel & Modelling skills - proficient in VBA
• Qlikview and/or SAP experience (ideally with scripting knowledge), although wider experience of other systems will also be beneficial
• Analytical and diligent and proactive problem solving approach to work
• Used to working with Big Data
• Ability to explain analysis and trends to non-finance managers within the business
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring work is delivered on time and right first time attitude towards high standards and to meeting team deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills, including planning and prioritising work.
• Adaptable and versatile, responding positively when change is required or plans are altered.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and external stakeholders.
