Young Epilepsy is a leading national charity based at Lingfield in Surrey, which exists to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and associated conditions. With over 100 years of experience, their unique Headquarters offers world class services which includes the provision of Residential Services, Education and Health Care to children and young people in the UK and nationally.

Your new role 

Reporting to the Head of Finance your primary responsibilities will be to deliver a high quality management accounting service to the Young Epilepsy budget holders and to assist operational heads in managing their business areas. The role provides a key link between the Finance Department and other parts of the organisation. In the role you will provide financial training to managers where necessary, you will support the Director of Finance & IT and the Head of Finance in the annual budget and quarterly forecast setting processes. You will monitor capital expenditure against budgets and restricted funds income and expenditure you will produce regular reports for the budget holders. You will prepare monthly and weekly cashflow forecasts and prepare and post month-end procedures.

What you'll need to succeed 

You will be part qualified CCAB/CIMA with experience in management accounting of a £15 million plus turnover organisation, ideally with a charity or service delivery company. A track record in developing and implementing financial reports to assist budget holders. The ability to deliver a set of monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner and proven knowledge and understanding of Excel to develop costings and financial models, you will be confident in communicating with a wide range of people, prioritise and deliver on wide ranging workload and have excellent delegation skills. You will thrive in a continuously evolving environment.
