FINANCIAL CONTROLLER De Montfort University Leicester

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Finance Officer with specific responsibilities to lead and direct the following functions; financial and technical accounting, statutory and year end returns, financial services, expenses, treasury and investment management, financial systems, taxation and Internal/External Audit liaison. 

Based in the Finance Directorate, this is a key senior role that will operate and communicate at all levels in the University; strategic to operational. With a team of around 30 staff, the post-holder will be responsible for engaging, and meeting the needs of, key internal and external stakeholders including Executive Board, Governors and senior academic staff. The role will be integral to the success and sustainability of the University through the development of high-performing, motivated, empowered, customer-focused teams.

You will be a confident, professional and technically-strong candidate with a proven-track record in the development and management of large teams whilst displaying a passion for driving performance through the provision of timely, accurate and financial information.
