Plant Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group is currently working exclusively alongside a reputable Automotive Manufacturer based in Sutton Coldfield as they look to appoint a Plant Accountant on a permanent basis.

This role is paying up to £30,000 per annum and will be reporting into a supportive Finance Manager who will ensure you have a clear development plan in place.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and friendly team which is supported by experienced and impressive management. You will be responsible overseeing the day to day running of the finance function including management accounting.

Principle Accountabilities are as follows:

• Assisting with annual budget
• Month and Year end accounting
• Monthly P&L Creation
• Posting and taking ownership of Month-end accruals
• Quarterly Forecasting
• Calculating and analysis of several KPIs to the business - materials going in and out and variances.
• Stock control - Identifying stock at risk and maintaining the stock provision
• Product costing, Cost of sales calculation and reconciliation, Prime cost calculation and analysis
• Margin Optimisation
• Labour reporting and Overhead analysis

Skills and Experience

• CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or QBE
• SAP
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering
• Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to communicate complex financial information in a simplified manner.
• Excellent IT skills including Excel (must be able to use V Lookups and Pivot Tables).
• Committed team player with a genuine 'can do' attitude
