Our client is a highly successful Project Management Consultancy operating in the Construction industry who, due to growth, require an experienced Financial Controller to join the business.

Reporting to the Board of Directors and the Company Accountant this varied role will involve looking after all aspects of running the finance function of the company. Responsibilities will include;

  • Compiling the monthly Management Information pack (Xero & Excel)
  • Using Xero software on a daily basis
  • Entering all supplier invoices
  • Raising client invoices
  • Reconciling bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Reviewing staff expenses
  • Running reports from the time management system
  • Making Bank payments
  • Providing financial information and ad-hoc reports to Directors and Accountant 
  • Developing the systems and processes
  • Liaising with Directors on client invoicing and debt collection
  • Tracking costs against budget
  • Preparing information for auditors

The successful candidate will have;

  • An Accounting qualification or be QBE
  • Extensive experience of working in a finance department
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel experience to a high level
  • Good attention to detail and work to tight deadlines
  • Good time management and be able to communicate at all levels
  • Knowledge and experience of Xero is desirable
