My Client, a rapidly developing business services brand based in Canterbury, is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their busy Finance Team.
The role will necessitate input into the planning cycle through detailed budgeting and forecasting and the provision of detailed financial analysis of activities to assist senior management and business managers in decision making.
As the management accountant the main purpose is to ensure that all financial management reporting is produced in a timely and accurate manner.
Duties will include:
Production of monthly management accounts and statistics
Essential skills and experience:
It is imperative that you have a strong grasp of Excel and are capable using VLookups and pivot tables.

- Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Calculation of all accruals and prepayments
- Responsibility for all short-term revenue budgeting and forecasting
- Payroll monitoring/re-forecasting/reporting
- Assisting with short & long term planning
- Providing detailed analysis of each business sector and linked activity and KPIs
- Managing the workload of direct reports and completing performance appraisals (if applicable)
Essential skills and experience:
It is imperative that you have a strong grasp of Excel and are capable using VLookups and pivot tables.
- Working in a high volume commercial environment
- Business partnering experience
- Ability to interpret and provide detailed analysis linking with commercially driven metrics
- Experience of financial modelling
- Project Management, using technology to optimise performance and deliver results
- Ability to provide support to budget holders, improving technical and professional knowledge to further inform decision making
