Finance Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accurate, timely and user friendly financial and commercial information, including weekly reporting.
• Assist in enhancing the business unit internal financial controls and procedures and support effective implementation within the Operational Finance team.
• Collate and provide timely and accurate KPI information for weekly performance reviews.
• Review and liaise with the operational teams to ensure that the information provided is at the required standard and in the required format.
• Manage a portfolio of sites, ensuring weekly and monthly accounts are provided in a timely and accurate manner with strong balance sheet controls.
• Liaise with Directors, General Managers, Regional Managers, Business Unit Finance representatives, Central Finance Team and employees at all levels.
• Closely aligning the requirements of the Business Unit Sector Directors and Operational Management Teams ensuring that reporting deadlines are adhered to.
• To assist with the production of the monthly management accounts.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong Excel Skills
• Experience of management accounts
• Experience of financial reporting
• Good communication skills for representing reports
• Self-starter
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Desirable:

• Operational accounting experience
• Experience of working within the Logistics industry
• Experience writing macros in Microsoft Excel
