Client Money Accountant

A London Market insurance broker are looking to hire a Client Money accountant following significant expansion and changes to the groups profile. This highly acquisitive and rapidly growing business requires someone to monitor and manage client money processes within various entities across the group, ensuring a consistent approach and identifying any improvements are scheduled and tracked. Some key areas of responsibility will be to:-

• Provide quality control and monitoring through site visits and review of documentation
• Produce monthly client money MI for use in various board and committee papers
• Review all RMAR returns prior to submission for completeness and accuracy
• Undertake bank due diligence annually for all banks used by the Group
• Implement similar controls and processes in those entities that are not authorised to hold client money

This is primarily an oversight role so would suit an accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) who has experience in the insurance/insurance broking market and has a keen eye for detail. This either being gained directly from the business or from an accountancy firm.
