Company Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a market leading business which has operations spanning worldwide, including a manufacturing facility with a strong distribution network in the UK. Due to wanting to consolidate and improve their finance function within their UK office, they have created a new vacancy for someone to join their business as a Company Accountant.

There will be a number of exciting projects to work; They are in the process of upgrading their current finance package later this year; process improvement initiatives to streamline finance operations.

The successful candidate will work very closely with the Operations Manager to provide accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flow position of the business, whilst ensuring full financial and tax compliance at all times.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

*Managing all accounting transactions
*Preparing budgets and forecasts
*Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
*Publishing financial statements
*Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings
*Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
*Ensuring timely bank payments
*Preparing tax returns
*Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements
*Audit financial transactions and documents
*Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
*Comply with financial policies and regulations

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified or Qualified by Experience
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
*Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables
*Experience with managing general ledger functions
*Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
*BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree would be highly desirable
