Job description
This is a newly created role within a leading TV and Radio broadcasting business. Following a recent business unit restructure, a key position now exists for a Finance Executive to commence on a contract basis. Working across the Commercial division and Shared Services, you will play an integral part on a project focussed around process improvement and internal controls as well as in the provision of high quality and timely divisional financial and management accounting activities and documentation of system (SAP) and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities will include documentation of current policies and procedures for the divisions (specifically Royalties), assisting in the evaluation of the current policies, controls and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary. Systems review work will involve documentation and enhancements within SAP, ensuring all transactions are in line with the wider Group reporting principles, ensuring compliance with signoff procedures and accounting standards. Candidates will ideally be technically strong ACA qualified finance professionals, coming either straight from audit or demonstrating a mix of audit, process improvement and internal control experience gained within both practice and commerce. Experience within the media industry and knowledge of royalty accounting is preferred although not essential. This is initially a contract with a view to extension into other areas of the wider finance group.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
