Finance Director

With a strong track record of organic and acquisitive growth, this market leading North West based Manufacturing company seeks to appoint a qualified and aspirational candidate genuinely seeking career advancement into a multifaceted Finance Director’s role.

This multiple-sited UK organisation enjoys strong profits and has an exciting growth vision in place. As part of a leading international Engineering & Manufacturing group, with plants around the world, they serve a diverse range of markets including aerospace, automotive, offshore oil & gas and building & construction.

In parallel with the ambition to grow this UK business to £100m, the company has embarked on a far reaching strategy of progressive change across all aspects of the organisation, underpinned by local initiatives focusing on: driving external & internal customer focus; market diversity; technology and product development; team-working; continuous improvement.

The Role:
  • Partnering the MD in developing & implementing the business strategy, whilst offering financial counsel to senior team members, you would influence policy, practices and people from ‘business planning’ through to supporting key local strategies.
  • Building on a raft of enhanced & streamlined financial practices, and in conjunction with a dedicated team, you would play a leading & pivotal role in the final roll-out, implementation and optimisation of a fully integrated company wide ERP system.
  • Whilst internally empowering and developing the Finance function to become a ‘first-stop’ Commercial Partner to the business, externally you would forge strong relationships in support of key initiatives ranging from strategic acquisitions, capital investment & supply chain projects.
The Candidate
  • Commercial, inquisitive & energetic graduate level qualified Accountant with PQE at Controller/Finance Director level, gained in a multi-site blue chip global manufacturing business environment.
  • A demonstrable track record of implementing a robust mainstream ERP system, whilst improving financial processes and business performance through a period of sustained pressure & culture change is essential.
  • Hands-on & team player, intellectually bright with exceptional interpersonal communications and the gravitas to inspire and influence at all levels. A decision maker & natural builder of relationships with well honed presentational skills.

Proactive, innovative and positive with a ‘can-do’ ethos – this is the character critical to the success of anyone joining this dynamic business and no more so than with the key position of Finance Director.
