We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Director to support the PCMS Project Accounting department.
This role serves as the world wide Finance Team Leader for the Project Accounting group and will be based from either our offices in Worthing or Uxbridge with regular travel.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides analytical support to the VP of Finance and assigned client groups with a high degree of professionalism and minimal supervision to ensure account profitability targets are maintained.
- Drives the monthly close process including all revenue recognition, reporting and analysis at the account and project level.
- In addition, is responsible for overseeing the monthly/quarterly account analysis, forecasting, billing, and A/R aging reviews as required.
The team is worldwide and you will have direct line management responsibility of a team of 3 within this. You will Business Partner with the Project teams and provide hands-on support to ensure accuracy within the Project Accounting team.

Experience Required:
- Proven understanding of accounting concepts and proven experience of working within a Project Accounting environment.
- ACA/ACCA preferred.
- Proven track record of maintaining a controlled environment (ie demonstrated understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley related process controls).
- Experience with accounting information systems (Oracle Financials experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
- Comfortable and effective moving routinely between detailed data analysis and staff management tasks.
- Experience with service contract revenue recognition.
- CRO/Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.
- Well-experienced with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
