Job description

An interim Finance Manager/Senior Management Accountant is required for a period of 6 to 12 months with a view to permanent. Previous experience of working in a legal firm or professional services organisation is essential. You will be directly reporting to the Group FC and responsible for the management of a team of 2/3 part-qualified Accountants expanding to 8 people within the Transactions team. Duties will include: the full review & commentary of the monthly management accounts, budgets & forecasts ensuring the monthly figures are produced to stringent dead lines. The role focuses on the financial numbers but with strong links to management information relating to business and fee earner performance. Other associated duties will include: VAT; manage firms insurance process; tax schedule preparations; manage fixed assets; new case statistics; Government statistics and returns; liaison with Auditors, Tax Advisors, insurance brokers and add hoc projects as instructed by Group Financial Controller. Mandatory: qualified Accountant; PQ experience; exposure of solicitors accounts rules is essential; exposure of LLP accounts and finally staff management experience.
