Overall Role Purpose
  • Supporting the accurate and timely statutory and group financial reporting.
Key Accountabilities
  • Production of detailed audit files for European entities based on IFRS.
  • Providing accounting information to European Accountants for production of statutory accounts based on local GAAP.
  • Production of quarterly consolidation packs.
  • Contract reviews providing technical accounting advice.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes.
  • Production of tax packs.
  • Other statutory returns.
Working Relationships and Interfaces
  • Management Accountants.
  • Consolidation team.
  • External reporting team.
  • External Accountants and Auditors.

Technical Competencies (Skills and Experience)

Essential
  • Good understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
  • Experienced in production of detailed audit files.
  • Experienced in production or review of statutory accounts.
  • Ability to work independently with an analytical mind and strong problem solving skills.
Desirable
  • Team player.
  • Ability to communicate accounting standards to commercial Finance team.
  • Telecommunication experience.
Qualifications
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA.
  • Degree level education or equivalent.
