Job description
Our client is a highly entrepreneurial, innovative, private equity backed Media/Software business. Having recently raised a significant amount of funding they are now poised for rapid growth on an international level, and as a result require a hands-on Financial Controller to build a finance framework and assist in the expansion of the organisation. The remit of this role can be divided into two key parts; firstly you will be charged with implementing robust financial controls and systems from scratch to support growth. Once this has been achieved you will take ownership of day-to-day accounting processes (management and statutory accounts, dealing with Auditors, payroll, credit control, tax, cash management, etc). The size of the business at present (circa 30 FTEs) means that you will be dealing with non-finance people on a daily basis. You must therefore have outstanding relationship management skills and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. It is essential that you are capable of managing multiple projects and enjoy the pressure of a high-growth business environment. You will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent), have some post qualified experience in a commercial capacity, and have previously implemented financial controls and systems. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an ambitious business in a highly visible, autonomous role.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
