Job description
Our client is a well-known Building Society who is looking to appoint a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity, where the successful candidate will not only be involved in leading Financial Operations and Management Accounts teams, but will also be a key member of the Management team actively contribute to strategic thinking and business debate. The key responsibility include: financial Planning - development of short & medium term forecasts in support of strategic plans, support to the bank's Executive team in strategic and tactical decisions, detailed input into new product design, evaluation and final sign-off; management accounting and information - development of the bank’s financial reporting and analysis, production and presentation on a monthly basis of management accounts with analysis, monitoring/developing finance policies and procedures; financial control - preparation of variance analysis and reports, effective cost control through discussion and challenge of management and executives, sign-off of reconciliations, ensuring their satisfactory completion and review; statutory and regulatory reporting - preparation of statutory accounts and returns, primary contact for the External Auditors, ensuring that all full year and interim audits are completed, preparation of all Bank of England and FSA regulatory reporting.
