Job description
A Private Equity backed Fashion Retailer is looking to hire a Financial Controller for its London head office. Working closely with the FD, you will play a key part in driving the efficiency and expansion of the business, and be committed to developing a career with this iconic brand. As the No.2 in the Finance function you manage the day-to-day operation operations of the UK Finance team. This will be a hands-on role, dealing with the operational elements of the Finance function with 7 direct reports and managing a small team. The successful candidate will be adept at implementing, maintaining and enhancing the Group systems, controls and reporting framework. You will be in charge of the preparation of annual statutory accounts and be the main point of contact with the Central treasury, tax, legal and regional accounting teams. Your accurate and preparation of financial information will assist the senior management in driving the growth of the business. Candidates will need to be qualified Accountants with previous experience of working in a retail environment. As this is a multi-channel business, preference will be for candidates with backgrounds across fashion, retail, wholesale and e-commerce. With SAP and IFRS experience, you will be technically strong, have a history of managing and developing teams and preferably have gained international exposure from a multicultural group environment.
