To lead and develop a fast growing company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop existing controls and procedures alongside FD to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances.
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards.
- Recommend financial and commercial changes that will improve the company's financial performance.
- Present weekly cash flow review and forecast.
- Support FD with ad hoc project work.
- Oversee sales ledger and payment processor reconciliation processes.
- Management of growing Finance team.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Skills/Attributes Required:
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Sound and up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP and international financial reporting standards.
- Experience of managing staff within accounts department.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
