3 years ago Pure Health and Fitness had one health club in one country. By the end of 2012, we will have 60 clubs in 7 countries. This is remarkable growth, and we need a remarkable Group Financial Controller to help us meet the challenges this brings.
Based, in Warsaw, Poland, Pure Health and Fitness is an award winning business, offering affordable high quality health clubs across Central and Eastern Europe. We are also launching clubs in Turkey and Asia.
We have an immediate need for a Group Financial Controller, who can support the Group FD through a focus on management and statutory accounts, financial control and managing the Finance team. You will also liaise with our investors and key stakeholders who are based in the UK.

- Monthly management reporting to Business Managers.
- Managing the month end close process for CEE companies and branches.
- Expense control and reviews.
- Managing the Finance team.
- Providing a 'value added' service to and partnering with Business Managers.
- Improving the provision and use of financial data within the business.
To succeed in this role you will be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA, or equivalent), have a track record in managing and motivating a team and working with operational teams to achieve business goals.
Previous experience of working in a multi-site, preferably a multinational environment would be an advantage. Due to the profile of our investors, previous experience of working within a British business culture would be highly relevant to this role.
We would be particularly keen to receive applications from candidates, who have worked in the leisure industry but above all we are looking for a strong communicator, whose technical skills are matched by their commercial and people skills.
Excellent English is essential for this role (the ability to speak Polish is not required). The successful candidate will hold a passport from an EU country allowing them to work in Poland. Candidates must be able to relocate to Warsaw.
