Job description
A successful company requires a Systems Accountant to join its head office Finance team. This is a challenging and visible role reporting to the FC and developing the company's financial systems. Specific responsibilities include providing first line support and systems training for users, ensuring systems are being fully and optimally utilised, looking for opportunities to improve the reporting and control environment and to automate routine or repetitive tasks in the Finance department. You will also lead systems related projects, upgrades where necessary, liaise across the business to maintain links between finance and operational software, and lead a process of developing the current Excel based business forecasting tool. Some travel internationally may be required and you will need to be a confident, self-starter for this role. A part-qualified CIMA or ACCA Accountant with a significant experience, your level of IT knowledge will be strong and you will have gained experience of the implementation and development of an accounting software package before. You must have experience of an in-house systems accounting role (not as a consultant) and ideally will have a large or mid corporate background. Our client offers a superb working environment and you will be joining a highly professional and close-knit team.
