Divisional Finance Officer

The DFO, ACE Life, Europe, within ACE Europe Life Limited (AELL) is responsible for working with the Director AELL and Head of FP&A for financial and operational matters of AELL, and to the ACE Life International Global CFO for ACE Life Segment reporting

Effective articulation of the results to ACE Ltd., ACE Life, AELL & AEG Executive teams as directed.

This role will be responsible for communicating with the various teams on AELL matters including query resolution and providing challenges and guidance on behalf of the Director, AELL, together with assisting in driving business decisions by undertaking projects as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for working with the Director AELL, ACE Life International Global CFO, and Head of FP&A for financial and operational matters of AELL

3. 5. The Planning process will involve liaising with the functional teams, underwriting, claims, actuarial and reinsurance teams, demonstrating understanding of the key performance drivers through articulation of the results to the respective functions and AELL Executive teams as appropriate. This will include preparing papers for Board and audiences.
6. This role will be responsible for communicating with the various teams on AELL matters including query resolution and providing challenges and guidance on behalf of the Director, AELL together with assisting in driving business decisions by undertaking projects as appropriate

7. Provide strategic direction for process improvements and efficiencies in the management reporting for the division and coordinate data management activities for the division including assistance in related system and data warehouse reporting development and enhancements.

Qualifications

Graduate accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), with significant amount of post qualification experience; familiarity with profit profile, accounting and reporting, and capital return attributes of Life Insurance products and business required.
