As a Service Charge Accountant you will be responsible for managing all the accounts and service charges of a portfolio of properties, including:
• Preparing accounts to trial balance
• Preparing year end service charge accounts and budgets
• Property VAT, invoicing, bank reconciliation
As such, you will need to have minimum 2 years experience in service charge accounting and familiar with operations such as preparing accounts to trial balance and double entry bookkeeping.
This role would suit a Service Charge Accountant that is looking to be part of a business that aims to change the face of property management by offering a more comprehensive service to its customers and the financial aspect is considered of utmost importance.

My Client, an International Investment Bank in the City is seeking a finance professional with solid cost Accounting experience to join them on a 6 month contract.
The jobholder will be primarily responsible for preparing and posting critical accounting entries to cost centres across the territory on a monthly basis.
Other elements of your role will include:
1. Prepare and post in SAP month-end accounting journals at cost centre level for the UK territory including accruals, prepayments and cost recharges to other group entities.
2. Liaise with accounts payable for payment and booking of invoices as and when required.
3. Handle the inter-company invoicing process and maintain the debtors control account. Prepare and send invoices to other group entities and chase for payment as and when required. Provide back-up documentation for invoices and answer queries as and when they arise.
4. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations covering prepayments, accruals and inter-company debtors. Liaise with the Controls team as and when required and provide the necessary back-up documentation for the journals and reconciliations under review.
5. Provide assistance to other members of the team, particularly during budget and forecast periods.
6. Keep documentation of procedures up to date.
7. Assist in ad-hoc queries/projects.
8. Provide cover and support for other team activities as required (especially during Forecast/ Budget).
KEY PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• AAT qualified individual (or equivalent) or accounting degree essential
• Strong prior experience in bookkeeping and good command of the mechanics of balance sheet and P&L essential
• Good Excel skills essential (including knowledge of Vlookups and Pivot tables)
• Dedicated results driven individual who will be committed to monthly deadlines
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work within a team environment - essential
• Knowledge of SAP essential
• Knowledge of Essbase desirable but not essential

The role:
Responsible for the financial administration of multiple projects of varying sizes for various business lines and groups of project managers; is the Finance partner to the project team. The project accountant will work closely with the operations team over the complete life cycle of a project, including the bid preparation phase.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interface regularly with project manager and project delivery team
- Assist Project Manager with project setup and closeout. Monitor projects for contract compliance
- Ensure all incurred cost is reflected accurately and in a timely fashion on the project
- Monitor project performance and key indicators: support PM as required in understanding project performance
- Ensure that the financial impact of change orders are reflected correctly
- Monitor analyze revenue to ensure proper revenue recognition methods used, be able to explain key project metrics and lead indicators.
- Assist project manager with the preparation and update for all active projects, ensuring that the current budget reflects original as-sold contract plus all client approved changes
- Participate in project review preparation and execution
- Support Country Finance Director and Business line finance lead in monthly close activities
- Assist in the preparation of the project risk analysis
