Our client, a charitable organisation in South Wales are looking for an Accountant to project manage the conversion of their financial systems and reporting structures in order to ensure compliance with IFRS. The successful candidate will ensure that resultant financial reports comply with relevant accounting and Welsh Government requirements.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Key Accountabilities:
• Project manage conversion of organisations’s financial management information systems and reports, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and updated SORP.
• Ensure Financial impact of IFRS 102 on organisation is assessed and communicated to Head of Finance and Director of Finance within agreed timescales.
• Ensure that 2015 year end opening balance sheet complies with FRS 102 and updated SORP.
• Work in partnership with other members of team impacted by IFRS. Ensure that information production is co-ordinated and planned as part of the conversion project.
• Raise awareness and manage decision making process for areas of accounts impacted by FRS 102 and the updated SORP where decisions will need to be made by Senior Management Team and Board.
• Examine and communicate impact of IFRS on budget for 2015/16 in a timely manner. • Working closely with report users, establishing good and open communication links, training and advising users, SMT/Board and Heads of Service on implications of IFRS on budgets and management accounts.
• Produce training plan for other users of financial management reporting systems.
• Ensure any further accounting changes relating to IFRS are assessed and communicated to the Head of Finance and Director of Finance.
• Work on own initiative in order to prioritise work to meet deadlines, giving the information to the appropriate people in a timely manner.

Reconciling suspense account before close of month end to ensure correct allocation into the P&L
Attend to the incoming manufacturing stock and check this against a list produced from the system to ensure that the invoices received are printed, price checked and then scanned onto the system to be cleared down/matched against the delivery receipted.
Querying and quantity differences with supply chain and the relevant vendor.

Candidate must have previous experience in a similar role
SAP experience is useful but not essential
MS Excel at intermediate level
