The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the UK finance department in the provision of quality financial information and ensure adherence to standard accounting practices.


Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation of all necessary financial information as per the below:-

Month end preparation, journal preparation and posting, balance sheet reconciliations, yearend support activities, management account reviews.

Assistance with and progressing to the preparation of VAT returns from an existing set process.

Intercompany reconciliations.

Control and maintenance of a fixed asset register.

Provision of support to operational management colleagues.

Evaluation of current financial controls and identification of improvements.

Ensuring standardised procedures are followed to deliver consistency of accounting.

Ongoing establishment of finance as a valued and integral part of the operating business.


Applications are invited from part qualified Management Accountants who are CIMA/ACCA. Alternatively, applications will also be considered from Accounts professionals who have considerable experience and are AAT qualified.


It is important that applicants can demonstrate an understanding of financial reporting techniques in an accounting environment. A pro-active approach and desire to support contract performance improvement is also required.



Accountants who have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, alongside operational management colleagues will be preferred.
