IRIS announces eye-catching revenue forecast Accounting software company IRIS has forecast revenues of more than £45 million for 2007, at a time when many in the business technology sector are struggling.

The firm's chief executive, Martin Leuw, explained the company's strategy to Accountancy Age: "Unlike our larger competitors, who seem intent on centralising all activities in one location to become one amorphous mass, we will continue to build on the extensive expertise of our people in each area of our business."

This, Mr Leuw explained, would allow IRIS to provide "expert, individual and tailored support to [its] customers".

Achieving the forecast of more than £45 million for the year would represent a five-fold increase in revenues since Mr Leuw took over as chief executive in 2001.

Since May of that year, he has orchestrated a name change (from Transaction Technologies) and several takeovers (including payroll software firm Freeway) and also managed to overtake software giant Sage.

IRIS now commands an impressive 40 per cent of the accountancy market.

The company strategy is firmly geared towards customer focus. "In a world of faceless organisations, IRIS has always been and will continue to be an organisation with a face," Leuw concluded.
