Well we’re here to tell you different – because this month sees the third
GAAPweb Meetup! If you haven’t been to one of our Meetups before then you’ve been missing out! It’s the perfect event for anyone interested in progressing their career and networking with fellow industry professionals.
This month, our Meetup is going to focus on Continued Professional Development (CPD) to coincide with the launch of GAAPweb’s dedicated CPD site.
CPD is an essential part of your career in Accountancy and Finance – but choosing your best options can be a real headache! Our Meetup aims to answer all your questions about why you should be doing CPD, the kind of training you should be doing and the different types of activities that earn you CPD points.
We’ll kick the evening off with speakers who’ll be talking to you about what you should consider when your planning your CPD diary. After that we’ll move onto some ‘speed networking’ where you’ll get a chance to speak to CPD course providers one-to-one!
The date you need to remember is August 18th – scribble it in your diary, set a reminder on your blackberry or do what we do in the GAAPweb office and leave a bright pink post-it on your desk!
