Kerry Katona declared bankrupt Former pop star and reality TV contestant Kerry Katona has been declared bankrupt.

The ex-Atomic Kitten, appeared in court over failing to pay HM Revenue and Customs the remaining £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.

Despite previously receiving an adjournment to allow further time to find the money, after claims she was due to earn £472,000 pounds which could clear the debts, a bankruptcy order was issued after the funds failed to arrive.

Luke Harris, who represented Ms Katona, left the high court and announced that he was "not in a position to assist further".

The singer and I'm A Celebrity winner did not appear in court.

Miss Katona recently accepted substantial undisclosed damages from the Sunday Mirror after the newspaper falsely claimed that she had worked as a prostitute prior to becoming famous.
