New finance director for ITV A new finance director has taken over at ITV.

Ian Griffiths, who left Emap in April this year after 14 years with the company, has taken up the role, following in the footsteps of John Creswell who still holds the position of chief operating officer.

Griffiths trained at Big 4 accountancy firm Ernst & Young where he qualified as a chartered accountant before joining Emap, where he held a number of roles including group finance director.

Commenting on his new role, he said: "I am delighted to be joining ITV as group finance director and look forward to contributing to the implementation of the turnaround strategy."

Mr Cresswell added that Griffiths will be a "key member" of ITV's finance team and will work towards improving financial performance.

It was previously reported that Tate & Lyle's finance director John Nicholas has left –the firm by mutual agreement.

Tim Lodge, the firm's head of investor relations, is currently filling the position while a replacement is found and could be a possible candidate for the job.
