Develop training targets and research possible training activities – do you want to sign up for a course or could you develop your skills through less formal methods such as discussion groups, reading, or research?

Carry out the training activity and evaluate its effectiveness – what have you learned, how will it help your career, and how does it contribute to your future training?
Don’t forget, you should always keep a detailed record of your training as you could be called on by your membership board to provide evidence of your CPD compliance.
