Mum sells her name on eBay to raise money for Christmas Eileen De Bont, 37, is selling her name on eBay to raise money and the winning bidder will be able to choose from a list of 50 new names for her, including Lou Roll, Tinky Winky and Pudsey Bear.

She plans to give half of the proceeds to Children in Need and spend the rest on a nice Christmas for her two children.

The dental assistant from St Asaph, Denbighshire, will change her name by deed poll to the chosen moniker for one year.

She said: "It's all very silly but I'm deadly serious about changing it. I'll even call myself Scunthorpe Travelodge if its the winning bid, so watch out Paris Hilton."

At the time of writing, bidding has reached £2,800.

Meanwhile, children in hospitals have been cheered by a Secret Santa handing over more than £9 million worth of toys.

The Sun reports that several truckloads of presents have arrived at Birmingham Children's Hospital from the anonymous benefactor and more are to be delivered nationwide in the next few days.
