CIMA appoints first ever organisational development manager The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has appointed Sandhya Sharma as its first organisational development manager.

Ms Sharma comes to the body from a background in both public and private sector HR, having previously worked as a senior lecturer in higher education.

Her new role will see her take responsibility for delivering employee training and development programmes at CIMA.

The aim of this will be to support the body's International People Development strategy.

Brad Taylor, head of human resources at CIMA, explained the move would build on recent progress it had made in the field.

"Our recent achievement in being re-accredited as an Investor in People greatly helped us to understand what we do really well, and what we need to focus on," he said.

Recently, CIMA was named Accountancy Body of the Year at the annual PQ magazine awards which were held in London during February.

Students studying for qualifications with the body praised the support they are given during the ceremony.
