The majority of students studying with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) are "confident" of their job security, according to a survey by the organisation.
A total of 83 per cent believe they will keep their current position for the next year, while 60 per cent are thinking of moving.
Over 2,000 students from countries such as the UK, Australia and Hong Kong were polled for the research.
Director of brand at the body Ray Perry cited the "portability" of the qualification as the main reason for buoyancy.
"It is encouraging to see management accounting students reporting promotion prospects, salary increases and increasing levels of happiness as they progress through the CIMA qualification," he said.
Mr Perry added the role of chartered accountants has "never been more important" than during the current economic crisis.
Elsewhere in the study it was revealed 71 per cent believe their prospects for promotion are average, good or excellent.
CIMA has offices in a number of countries, including Switzerland, Poland and Sri Lanka.
