Deloitte lands awards hat trick Deloitte has been named Global Firm of the Year at the Accountancy Age Awards.

The firm also walked off with the Employer of the Year accolade, making it the second consecutive year the company has won both awards.

Sarah Restall, an audit assistant manager at Deloitte, completed the firm's hat trick when she was named joint winner of the Young Accountant of the Year title.

John Connolly, UK senior partner and chief executive of the firm, expressed his delight at the firm's success.

He said: "The Employer award in particular is a reflection on our total commitment to our main asset - our people.

"Our reputation in the marketplace is thanks to the calibre and commitment of our people, and this is a very gratifying confirmation that we are fulfilling their expectations."

KPMG won two awards at the event held in London, walking away with the Audit Team of the Year and Business Recovery Project of the Year titles.
